  Appearance: Tall (6'9"), with broad shoulders, slim hips, and large paws/hands. He has thick, dark orange fur, with black stripes on his tail, a solid black tail tip, and black warpaint around his eyes. Azaron is missing a chunk of his right ear (a fight with a Skeever as a teenager), and has another three, faded scars across his left eye (from that same fight). He wears a set of black armor with chainmail sleeves, spiked pauldrons, gauntlets, and boots. The fingertips of the gauntlets are broken away, to allow Azaron access to his natural claws, and his boots are custom made with a seam across the arch, which allows him to walk/run on his toes, if he desires. The toe section of his boots have three metal claws attached to them, and there are 'dewclaw' spikes at the back of the heels.
  
  Personality: Raised beyond the reach of the big cities, Azaron wasn't exposed to the general attitude surrounding Khajiit until his first trip to Whiterun, when he was about six years old. He was shocked by how suspicious people were of him before they even knew his name, and when he questioned his mother about this as they returned home, he was taught about stereotypes, and told to never give people a reason to believe them. Determined to live by these words, Azaron strove to be as polite and helpful as he could be; even going out of his way to help those in need, with the sub-goal to prove that not all Khajiit are as bad as people suspect. He has a great dislike of bandits and outlaws (and anyone who brings harm to others, really) due to the nature of his orphaning, and he does not believe in blind revenge, which is what motivated Rithle to take in and train the cub (she was already an aging woman, and she knew the cub would grow into a strong, dangerous creature).
  
  He does regret that his childhood was primarily revenge-driven training, but he is forever grateful to Rithle for saving him when she could have just as easily walked away, and still refers to her as his mother. Against his own advice (and in part because of a promise sworn to his mother upon her death), Azaron continued to hold a grudge against most bandits, and even tracked and slaughtered the gang responsible for the crimes against his family. But, with those deaths avenged, his hatred for outlaws slowly began to wane.
  
  He has a natural soft spot for children, and is rather protective of those he considers his friends, because the losses of his family make him worry that he will lose his friends before their time. If he becomes close enough to a friend, he may even begin to refer to them as "brother" or "sister" (with or without "shield" coming first, as he did enjoy the camaraderie among the Companions). He turns into a mother hen whenever someone around him becomes ill (as it was illness that took his mother), and probably shouldn't be left too long around the Riften Orphanage, because he will sympathize greatly with the children, and may attempt to adopt them all.
  
  Not quite the sharpest tool in the shed, Azaron is, by no means, a scholar. If he doesn't understand something, he'll probably try to smash it/kill it, or demand that it be explained (if he is around people he likes/trusts/respects). He loves to hear about myths and heroes, but he doesn't have a good memory for the, and can be told the same stories agin and again and never get bored. He has a childlike interest in magic, and taught himself a few novice spells to fulfill that interest (though he favors no specific school).
  
  History: Born M'Kan, the son of a caravan leader, he was orphaned by a bandit ambush that slaughtered his family, and left the Khajiit cub for dead on the side of the road. He was found by Rithle - a widowed Redgard woman who had lost her own son to the same bandit group - and was taken in by the grieving mother as a surrogate son. Rithle renamed the cub Azaron, in memory of her own son, and trained him to hunt and fight from their woodland cabin in the woods around the small town of Riverwood. She made no secret that Azaron was adopted, and filled the Khajiit with a hatred for bandits, and a drive to avenge the deaths of both their families.
  
  When Azaron was fifteen, Rithle came down with Bone Break Fever. The small family was too poor to afford a healer coming all the way out to them, and Rithle was too weak to make the journey to the shrine in Whiterun. She passed away from the illness, and Azaron buried her behind their home, building a small cairn to shelter her. After grieving for a short period, he gathered what he could carry from the home, locked it up, and set out for Riverwood. He sold what he could at the Riverwood Trader, and then moved on to Whiterun.
  
  He arrived in the city just as the Companions began accepting new members, and, seeking training in the arts of battle, Azaron inquired at Jorrvaskr. Most of the Companions disregarded the scrawny Khajiit carrying a sword nearly bigger than he was, but the Harbinger, Kodlak Whitemane, saw potential in the cub, and allowed him to at least take the newblood trial. Five years later, Azaron was a full-blown Companion, but he found himself unsatisfied with the assorted work of the Companions. Azaron left the city - left the Companions - when a traveler reported a familiar bandit gang attacking caravans just across the border, in Cyrodill. He was convinced that this gang was the same who had destroyed his family (both the caravaners and Rithle's husband and son).
  
  Soon after crossing the border on horseback, Azaron encountered Tarene, an Altmer archer heading for the College of Winterhold. A native of Skyrim, Azaron agreed to guide Tarene there if the Altmer assisted in killing the bandits (who outnumbered him 4:1). A deal was struck, and the bandits destroyed, but the escalation of Skyrim's Civil War made travel up north too dangerous, at the time and while waiting for fighting to wane again, Azaron and Tarene struck up a partnership, and fell into the occupation of bounty hunters.

  Siblings: Ja'Tora had a reputation for 'spreading the love' a little wide, so there's no doubt some half-siblings out there. Currently the only known sibling is Arabhira.

  Bandit-slayer. A sword with which Azaron shares a name, this is a Skyforge steel greatsword he obtained while he was a member of the Companions in Whiterun. He took it with him even after leaving Jorvaskrr, as it is his favored weapon. He rarely let's anyone else touch it (though it's not like many others can lift it).
  
  Daedric dagger. Crafted from materials scavenged from bandit camps, and harvested from hard-fought Dremora. Used alongside a Nordic shield when combat is too close to swing Bandit-slayer, or requires a more subtle touch.
  
  Nordic shield. Technically not a weapon, but Azaron will use it to crack skulls when he's not using Bandit-slayer.
  
  Weakness(es):
  

  Swimming. Azaron never learned how, and though he likes fishing, he is terrified of large bodies of water (both stagnant and flowing). He will sink like a rock if he cannot touch bottom, and will panic, flail, and make things worse.
  
  Agility. Due to his overall build and preference for heavy armor and weapons, Azaron is not very agile. He can run fairly fast - and good luck stopping him once he's got momentum - but he will not be able to quickly change direction or stop, and he is by no means a nimble creature.
  
  Impulsiveness. Azaron is not much of a planner, and prefers to run right into combat and tank his way through until all opposition has either expired or surrendered. This quite often gets him in over his head, and causes him to carry an almost excessive amount of healing potions of varying degrees of strength.
  
  Extra: Azaron is hopeless with a bow, and broke the last one he tried to use (a simple hunting bow). He is not allowed to touch Tarene's precious Rockstring.
